On Your Radar - May 14, 2019

This month features The World According to Jesse Terry: four sets involving Jesse and three artists who have a connection with him.

Jesse Terry is an internationally touring, award-winning singer-songwriter whose intimacy with audiences, sincerity, and approachability has solidified him as a favorite at festivals and live venues nationwide. With five full-length albums under his belt, Terry's lyrical mastery, emotional depth, and soothing voice have often been compared to the likes of Jason Isbell, Jackson Browne, Paul McCartney and James Taylor, reaching deep into listeners’ hearts to envelope them in shared joy, sadness, love, and unrelenting hope.

Alex Wong is a Latin Grammy-nominated artist/producer who has worked with Delta Rae, Ari Hest, Vienna Teng, Melissa Ferrick and others. His music has been featured on film/TV including The Last Song, True Blood, and Google. Alex has performed at Coachella and NPR’s Mountain Stage. 2019 releases will include his second solo LP, a two-act musical, and a duo EP with Jesse Terry inspired by stories of climate change.

Raised on New York City's Roosevelt Island, Emily Mure sharpened her songwriting chops at Ithaca College and busking on the streets of Galway, Ireland. She later returned to New York, pursuing her songwriting career in the same city that housed her grandfather, musician Billy Mure. Over the course of three acclaimed albums, she has cracked the Top 10 on the Folk DJ Charts, showcased at the International Folk Alliance conference, toured internationally, and seen her music featured on NBC, ABC, and PBS.

Songwriter/guitarist/producer Alan Fish was signed to Virgin Records in the early ‘80’s with North East (England) band White Heat, a high-energy rock band attracting cult status. Subsequently The Attention Seekers have enabled Alan’s writing/playing/recording skills to capture attention further afield and join Jesse Terry touring the UK, Ireland, Europe & now the USA! Alan’s work with Jesse can be heard on album “A Song for Tomorrow” & EP “Alison Jones” both available as downloads.
