Sunday Supper: 10/17/21
This week’s “Sunday Supper” opens with “You and Me on the Rock” from Brandi Carlile’s brand-new album, In These Silent Days. Think of it instead as “You and Me on the Radio,” as WFUV is counting down the last few hours of our not-so-silent five-day member drive. If “Sunday Supper” has helped keep you sane over the last 18 months, I hope you’ll consider a pledge as a thank you for services rendered. (You’ll actually find some cool thank you gifts for your contribution!)
In addition to Brandi, we’ll have new music by Dar Williams, James Maddock, Wille Nile, The Accidentals, and Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga. But I never forget some favorites in the mix. This week they’ll include Joni Mitchell, Josh Ritter, Van Morrison, The Pretenders, and Reggie Harris and Greg Greenway, plus a track from the great new FUV Live 23.
While WFUV is a cause in need, I hope that Facebook friends are friends indeed. Join me between 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, on the WFUV app or the generous smart speaker of your choice. And if you can’t do it then, visit wfuv.org/membership and tell them “Sunday Supper sent me!”
