Sunday Supper: 04/14/19

This week's Sunday Supper at 5pm on WFUV is Part Two of my Golden Anniversary as a professional professional, featuring some all-time highlights of my radio career. Many of my favorite moments occurred outside the studio: Emmylou Harris at Premiere Networks studios, her pal Linda Ronstadt in an onstage conversation at L.I.U. Post, Richard Thompson at the Museum of Television & Radio, Ray Davies at a motel in Massachusetts, Tony Bennett at his publicists' conference room, Nanci Griffith, joined Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Rodney Crowell, and Eric Taylor at Atlantic Recording Studios.

Standout visits at WFUV included Tom Rush and Judy Collins each sharing their introductions to Joni Mitchell, Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey recreating the chemistry of Peter, Paul & Mary, Graham Nash unveiling "Marrakesh Express" at Johnny Cash's house, Bobby McFerrin performing spirituals in Studio A, and The Kennedys and Red Mollyteaming up as the de facto "Red Kennedys."

I'm delighted to be able to take this musical trip down memory lane. Join me from 5-6 p.m. EDT or don't miss the journey anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives.
