The Conversations are a swinging Americana combo led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Rees Shad. The band is made up of drummer Bobby Kay (Cole Broderick, Ellen MacIlwaine and 25 years with Shad), bassist Jeff Link (Robben Ford, Albert Cummings), and percussionist Carlos Valdez (Mambo Kikongo). Together these musicians cross a wide range of genres to deliver a swinging form of Americana that is both literate, imaginatively played, and grooving!
