Video Premiere: Roger Street Friedman "Thankful For This Day"

Long Island troubadour Roger Street Friedman came out of the pandemic with a compassionate collection of songs that matter, about democracy, history, and family, that he's titled Love Hope Trust. One of the most personal is a love letter to his children called "Thankful For This Day." Recorded at his state of-the-art home studio and produced by Grammy winner Larry Campbell, the song features a string session arranged by Larry and harmony vocals from Teresa Williams, Lucy Kaplansky, Roger's brother Lev, and his 15-year-old daughter Allie. Just in time for Thanksgiving, I'm delighted to share this moment of gratitude for the everyday joys of life as an exclusive video premiere on the New Folk Initiative.
